Description
The Eva ring is Finland's most beautiful ring in 2022.
The inspiration for this ring comes from Eva de la Gardie, married to Ekeblad, who was an amazing and influential scientist who discovered the starch of the potato in mid-18th century Sweden.
Her discovery of how to make brandy from potatoes saved countless people from hunger and starvation. All the grain that farmers grew no longer had to go to the distillery and they could instead feed their families.
A new chapter for farmers, a new way to avoid starvation and a new invention that made her the first female member of the Academy of Sciences.
Through our ring, we want to pay tribute to Eva Ekeblad and her historic discovery.
